We build native and cross-platform mobile applications for businesses that need a polished, reliable app without maintaining two separate codebases for iOS and Android.
Most businesses don't need two separate native codebases, and building one anyway just doubles cost and maintenance for no real benefit. We build the majority of client apps in React Native or Flutter, which share a single codebase across iOS and Android while still producing apps that feel native — smooth animations, native navigation patterns, and full access to device hardware like camera, GPS, and push notifications.
Native development (Swift for iOS, Kotlin for Android) still makes sense for apps with heavy device-specific requirements — AR features, complex background processing, or deep OS-level integration. We'll tell you honestly which route your project needs rather than defaulting to whichever is easier for us.
A mobile app engagement covers more than writing code. Depending on your project, we handle UI/UX design tailored to mobile interaction patterns, backend API development if your app needs one, push notification setup, in-app payment integration (Stripe, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay), analytics instrumentation, and app store submission for both the Apple App Store and Google Play — including navigating each store's review guidelines, which trip up a lot of first-time submissions.
“The mobile app development service was absolutely superb and went beyond our expectations. Zeecomedia's attention to detail and technical expertise is top-notch. I highly recommend them for any mobile app project.” — Emmanuel Shobowale, Mobile App Client
Mobile projects follow the same structured process as our web work: discovery and planning (1–2 weeks), UI/UX design (2–3 weeks), development in weekly sprints with demos on real devices (6–12 weeks depending on scope), then deployment — which for mobile includes store submission and review, typically adding 1–2 weeks depending on platform review times. A 30–90 day warranty period follows launch to catch any device-specific issues that only show up at scale.
A basic mobile app with core features (simple booking flow, basic content app, a single primary user journey) typically falls in our MVP/starter tier, starting from $1,000–$3,000 with a 4–8 week timeline. Apps requiring backend infrastructure, payment processing, or admin dashboards move into our full product tier, starting from $4,000 with an 8–16 week timeline. See full pricing details.
Mobile apps need more ongoing attention than most web products — OS updates from Apple and Google can break functionality with little warning, and app store policies change periodically. Our maintenance and support retainers keep your app compatible as iOS and Android evolve, so you're not caught off guard by a forced update.
This depends entirely on where your users are. If you already have a web product or existing customer base, we can usually tell from your analytics which platform to prioritize, or confirm that both are worth building simultaneously. For a brand-new consumer app with no existing user data, cross-platform frameworks like React Native make launching on both platforms at once realistic without doubling your budget.
Store review guidelines are specific and change periodically, and first-time submissions are commonly rejected for avoidable reasons — missing privacy policy links, incomplete metadata, or a login flow that reviewers can't test. We handle store submission as part of the project and account for review requirements during development, not as an afterthought.
Depends on the app. A simple content or utility app might not need one. Anything with user accounts, data that syncs across devices, or admin controls needs a backend API — which we can build as part of the same engagement, covered under API development.
Through a maintenance retainer — see our maintenance and support page. This matters more for mobile than web, since OS updates from Apple and Google can affect your app even if you haven't changed any code.
